HERMETIC TABLET IS NOW OUT

Truth ! Certainty ! That in which there is no doubt !   The Hermetic Tablet is a quarterly Journal of Western Ritual Magic where people, from all traditions, share their experiences. WHY GOOD PEOPLE DO EVIL MAGIC

A number of years ago I did not believe in magical attacks. Most of the magicians I knew had been positive that attacking someone was a bad thing – unless there were real reasons. The Internet has bought many problems to occult teaching.  Often teaching is dumbed down into a mem or a slogan which may or may not be right but just sounds cool.  Soon people start to believe it and it becomes difficult to shake from people’s mind. For a few months I have had fun looking at mems people have been posting and typing in the headline and the then the world hoax or debunked into Google.   You will be amazed at how many “facts” online are made up by people who are trying to sell you something – either politics or a belief.  What is even stranger is how angry people get when you tell them that they have been taken

Triangle of the Art

The Triangle of the Art comes from the Grimoire tradition of magic.  Its function was to concentrate the spirit being invoked into one space so that it could be seen visibly.   It first appeared in the Lesser Key of Solomon the Goetia where its function was to constrain and force evil spirits to manifest. We have very few accounts of Golden Dawn evocation magic and the most famous is the account published by Pat Zalewski in his Talismans and Evocations of the Golden Dawn.  That was a ritual which was written by Alan Bennett (Frater Iehi Aour "Let there be light") and was designed to get the nearly unpronounceable spirit of Mercury TAPHTHARTHARATH to physical manifestation. What was telling about
