THE LESSER RITUAL OF THE HEXAGRAM

I have published one of my online lectures on YouTube. It explains how, that as the Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram is not about elements, so the Lesser Ritual of the Hexagram is probably not about planets and together these two rituals have an important function, in magical work.

Nick Farrell

Nick Farrell was born 1965 in Banbury in the UK. His family moved to New Zealand. He joined Golden Dawn offshoot called Builders of the Adytum before moving o Hawkes Bay where he hooked up with the former members of the last surviving temple of the Golden Dawn, Whare Ra. He joined the Order of the Table Round which was a side order of the now defunct Whare Ra temple. He moved to the UK to take part in practical work of the SOL and found himself being trained by David Goddard. In 1997, He joined the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn forming a Temple of that Group in Nottingham. He followed the Cicero’s Golden Dawn curriculum from Neophyte to ZAM. In 2008 he moved to Rome and established the Magical Order of the Aurora Aurea.

Hey great stuff Nick, so what exactly would the Invoking LRH be used for? I understand your example that used in conjunction with the LRP which claims Briatic sovereignty over Assiah, the LRH then claims Supernal sovereignty over Yetzirah (correct me if I’m wrong here)? But in practice what type of rituals or exercises would you use it for, for instance skrying, rising on the planes, it seems like anything involving possible encounters with guardians on the Astral, etc – hope you can add a bit, also I hope my question makes sense :- )

I must confess, I still find it difficult to decide when it would be appropriate to banish rather than invoke a planetary force.

For example, should you be facing a heavy and unpleasant astrological transit, would you banish to lessen the force of the malefic planet or would you invoke it to befriend it and hope that this will reduce its negative impact?
